We collaborate closely with many partners. It’s a fundamental part of our business strategy and puts us in a position of responsibility. It is therefore vital that we ensure respect for the environment and the health and safety of our employees and customers in all our dealings.

As the distributor of more than one million different products worldwide, we are firmly committed to applying ethical, environmental and quality standards to all our suppliers and subcontractors. Rexel’s general purchasing conditions contain specific clauses requiring suppliers to comply with the fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization and local legislation:

• Full compliance with national and international law, particularly in terms of working conditions and environmental standards
• Full compliance with the principles of free competition
• Rejection of corruption in all its forms

Equally, we ensure that all our products comply fully with applicable regulations, notably REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) regulations and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives. Regular supplier audits validate this. We apply even higher quality and safety standards to our in-house designs and own brands.
